Petra’s makes a mean turkey sandwich, mean as hell, super fresh, ingredients are on point 100%, probably one of the best cold cuts ive ever had. Leaves subway in the dust. Only thing is, they’re a bit on the small side, I figure they should be 30% bigger than they are. Other than that its a great environment and ambiance, if you’re a college student looking to study this is your spot. Beautiful cafe, great service, would recommend.
Great portions and taste/quality for its price – ideal for lunch eats! Panini+soup combo specifically is divine, and Montreal Sandwich is also decent but not as rich and fulfilling as the Paninis that go well with soup (and possibly tea/coffee!). Their tea bags are even the same as Le March St. George all the way north in Kensington, Vancouver, but prices for espresso drinks and tea latts are much better here. Additionally, it harbours a quaint and lively ambience. 4.5/5!!!
If you’re looking to grab a good cup of coffee, but want something different than your standard Starbucks or Tim Horton’s fare, then you should give Petra’s a try. While they have a large inside space, and a just-as-big patio for days with good weather, Petra’s always seems to be busy so you may struggle to grab a seat during peak times. leftcoastbydesign.ca
