Since the place is cheaper than the other outlets in AMS, I’d like to rate it higher. Otherwise it’s your typical fast food place with burgers and fries and stuff. Nothing too outstanding or notable.Food – 3.5/5Service – 4/5 Ambiance – 3.5/5 Value for money – 4/5 One of the potential places to grab a quick bite.
Ahahah if you like Eggs Benny and hashbrowns this place has the dish for you. Breakfast poutine that is lacto-ovo vegetarian friendly since they don’t have bacon in their poutine. Whoever came up with this was genius. Super filling meal. Though honestly I don’t think this place should be advertised as fast food since I waited almost 20 minutes for the poutine and since this place is at UBC I know for a fact that many of these students may be rushing off to class with their food and don’t have time to wait that long. And for those that are eating at the Nest for lunch many times they only have like 50 minutes to spend time with their friends while enjoying lunch, and I for one do not want to spend 20/50 minutes of that time waiting for my food.
The deepfried avocado with fries are MUST TRY when you come here! Located in the newly opened AMS The Nest at UBC, it gets super busy during lunch hour as it’s a definite student favourite for burgers and fries. But surprisingly enough, the deepfried avocado just knocked my socks off. The creaminess of the avocado paired well with the crunchy exterior and dipped in the special siracha sauce, it can’t be beat! The fries are just your average but works well with it. For $6.95, it’s a reasonable price and it did keep me full for a few hours. porkninjas.ca
Basically a burger place that serves the usual, like burgers, fries and poutine with a few special items that I’ve never seen. I got avocado and fries from here, and they were delicious; they fried the avocados 😛
