Stopped by for a quick lunch at UBC. The sushi was reasonable both in terms of presentation, taste and portion. The udon was a little small in portion, but had ample ingredients.
Stopped by for a quick bite to eat while at UBC. I enjoyed the sushi here. Wasn’t a big fan of their Toro nigiri, but was quite satisfied with the sushi rolls and salmon sashimi. I would come back here again if I’m in the area. Reasonable prices.
Aweful. The staff here are so insanely unfriendly I would rather eat grass then be forced to support their business. They also use a lot of Styrofoam which is unacceptable. Sushi is way over priced too.
UBC Location: Sushi is good. Cashier is unfriendly. Sushi was fine, prices are reasonable but the cashier (possibly the owner) is emotionless and unfriendly. You don’t feel welcome. She does not say hello, good bye or thank you for your business. I feel like I am intruding. No smiles. Just a blank look and stare at you. I suspect she is Korean. Maybe she does not speak english well but she understood me when I ordered. As I left, I wanted to say good bye and thank you but the owner/cashier would not look at me. Totally ignored me. She stared right through me. Weird way to run a business.
We left never receiving food. I cannot honestly say if their food is any good. After waiting close to 30 minutes for our order which was incredibly easy to prepare, and at any other location would have taken 10 minutes tops, we got up and left and it still was not ready.
Sushi was ok, staff were very rude at the oakridge one Especially the cashier.
Good special rolls. Honestly I don’t like the bento or other menu coming from the kitchen(teriyaki rice bowls and such). But I looove the rolls from here. Especially Kamikaze, Crunch, and Dragon. I think the environment is pretty clean and prices are pretty cheap too.
