Really nice bubble tea place. The drinks have wonderful presentation and it’s pretty customizable on how you’d like your drink in terms of sweetness. The service was friendly as well. Definitely worth trying.
Came here on a weekday night. After we were seated, it got pretty busy. It’s not that big of a space, but they can put the tables together for large groups. We ordered the bean powder ice pot and mango tapioca. Mango tapioca came out first and it’s a pretty decent size. It had good mango flavour except the tapioca was all on the bottom and it was too much. It was hard to eat the tapioca with the rest of the dessert since it was on the bottom. The ice pot came and the table beside us was really amazed and started taking photos of our dessert too. Aesthetically, it was really nice. Unfortunately, it didn’t taste as good. The shaved ice didn’t wasn’t as soft and fluffy, and there were some larger chunks. It also had ice cream that was placed in a small bowl and condensed milk on the side. It was pretty warm inside so the ice cream melted pretty fast. When we were paying, the server said she couldn’t split the bill in half. They could only do it by items. I found this kind of annoying. However, the servers were nice and service was good. I don’t think I’d come back again. I’ve had their watermelon shaved ice before too and again, it is nice to look at, but maybe not worth the price. It’s a cool place to take pictures, but there are better shaved ice places out there.
Went here in July 2016 but kept on forgetting to post a review. It’s offerings are novel at first but that quickly wears off. Tried the light bulb drinks, which are just regular drinks in a light bulb (tasted meh). Shared a melon icy dessert. I have to say it’s a lot of watermelon. You are essentially paying for all that labor of scooping out the melon balls. Because it’s with icy I didn’t feel so well after eating a bunch of cold watermelon mixed with condensed milk icy (despite sharing among 3 people). It also melted quickly so it ended up just being a milky slush. The place is small and quite crammed. Our table was less than 20 cm away from the others. It was a cool experience (pun intended) but not going to bother going out of my way to come here again.
Even though they are known for their watermelon icy, we decided it was too big for two people and not worth the $15 either. We decided to go with the mango ice pot instead, and a passionfruit green tea bulb drink. We found the mango ice very delicious and also very big for two people to finish. The bulb drink was very refreshing and aesthetically pleasing for Instagram.Something to note, we’ve been here twice, once in the summer and once in the winter, and ordered the mango ice pot both times. The amount of mangos in the summer doubled the amount of mangos in the winter (probably due to season). If we came with a bigger group of people we would probably try the watermelon icy, and we recommend the mango ice pot for sure.
Hot day and we had the watermelon icy and a kiwi light bulb drink. The watermelon icy is $15, but we shared it between 3 people. The shaved ice was creamy, and the watermelon balls were refreshing (mainly why we got it over the honeydew ones), though a little pricey. But you also have to keep in mind the manpower it takes to make the watermelon balls. The light bulb drink was alright. I thought kiwi was a little weird tasting for a soda, but that’s just me.I probably won’t get the watermelon icy again next time, but an Oreo shaved ice or something along the lines of that. It’s about half the price but I saw it being decently big in size from the table next to ours! karenklee.com
Loved loved loved the shaved ice here! It was smooth and had a certain sweetness to it (might’ve just been the condensed milk but I can never taste it anywhere else). My cousin said we should’ve gone to icy bar instead but as soon as she tried it, she regretted saying that! Their melon shaved ice bowls are extremely creative and lovely to look at. The watermelons were like an avalanche though — once you take one, the rest falls as well! It was sad but fun. This place was CROWDED, we were lucky to have gotten seats but I guess that just goes to show how good this place is! Definitely expect to go again!
