came here during weekend morning and well it’s quite packed as usual, and definitely the food is good as well, ordered a few dishes that i usually ordered charsiubao, chicken knuckle, feet and egg tart, all was seasoned well to perfection and the texture of each item was excellent as well, like the chicken knuckles were crunchy and the flour was thin enough to be able to taste the crispness of deepfried and the seasoning is good as well. the charsiubao the bread/bao outside is fluffy and the meat taste great 😀 definitely worth the money and wait.the place though, they are cramping everyone as much as possible to fit in so can be quite rowdy for sure and need to flag down waitress some times mangkr.wordpress.com
We ordered a dish. Apparently it was the wrong dish, we asked to correct it and we were then accused of eating or stealing that dish when absolutely none was eaten. It was the wrong type of filling when we checked. Waitress was quite rude when it was brought to attention. They seemed apprehensive to even acknowledge the mistake and even said, keep running your mouth. We just wanted the right dish as marked on the order list. Thats all.
This is my local and I love the food and service and it is my regular place. I do miss the traditional carts though. Be warned they don’t take credit cards.
Domoiscraving we been here for an hour already and no food served. The only thing close to food being served was a soup we did not order, which they realized after pouring out 4 bowls then took them all back. Other tables had multiple dishes served to them already, at least 4. If I could give less than 1 for a rating I would. Never coming here again.
Been coming here for ages now from when they still had push cart dimsum to now where you order from a sheet. The foods always been very good and the price is decent as well.
We were craving egg tofu, so we stopped by Dai Tung for dinner. We ordered the braised egg tofu with dried scallops which also come with gai lan and the egg white and scallop fried rice. The egg tofu was so good! The tofu is nice and soft, and they put a ton of sauce on it. The gai lan was also delicious, a nice compliment to the tofu. The fried rice had a ton of flavour, a little bit oily but that helped enhance the dish in our opinion. Super simple with just egg white, scallops and green onions but it works so well!Service was decent, we would have given a 4 but prices are a little bit on the expensive side. We will be back when we crave the egg tofu though.
Excellent dim sum. A little bit hard to find, but you’ll manage. They lost a point for not having the traditional dim sum carts in spite of being a big restaurant inside, but the food is good and the mustard served with the dim sum is nice and hot. They have a couple of neat ideas, such as what I like to call a ‘Chinese hotdog’, which is a Chinese sausage wrapped in a sweet bun. Delicious.
