The El Caracol Cafe is somewhere that I have been eying for some time now. What is particularly unusual about this place is that it is in the same strip mall as another Mexican restaurant; indeed, only 2 businesses are between them (!) In spite of this, neither business is out of business yet.This may be because El Caracol is more of a Central American restaurant than a Mexican one; the fare includes pupusas and other Central American favorites.The restaurant beyond the doors is almost painfully cramped. The menu is quite surprisingly large for such a small place. I dont know how they do the rice… but it may well be the best rice I have ever had. These guys know how to cook! I highly recommend them, although the wait time is a little long.
