Came here around 10am on a Sunday. Got seated quickly but the place was almost full. After we placed the order, the dim sum dishes came out rather quickly. The portions were quite large. Taste-wise, most of the dishes were really too oily when compared to other dim sum places. There was a long waiting line by the time we left

Decent place for dim sum, but everything else on their menu is below average in my opinion. The fried rice I had was bland and didn’t taste as good as fried rice I’ve eaten at other restaurants. Service was good as the food didn’t take too long to arrive at our table.

This is our families go to for birthdays, family visiting and dim sum restaurant. The portions are good for us but we don’t like huge portions so you can order more dishes. The price for Dimsum say 8 dishes was about 50.00 with tip. For dinner we always love the Peking duck in 2 course with the pancakes and lettuce wrap. I love the egg tofu with braised sauce with broccoli and the sweet and sour pork or the plum sauce with pork chops are also winners. You have to try the shrimp paste on crab leg it’s the best appetizer. Their appetizer plates are good as well. For a family of 6 dinner was about $130.00. They do give you the standard sweet red bean soup. If I had a choice I’d gladly pay for the Baked Tapioca Pudding dessert. Reservations a must for dinner as they are very popular. Free Parking is part of the T and T Supermarket Complex. The parking is tight cause no one has a small car anymore.

This place has decent dim sum for its price. I use to go here pretty often until the owner changed. The portion sizes now have really decrease..

I have not been a well versed dim sum person, but I thought this place was not bad, if you’re in a rush. There was no wait, but of course, I went on a weekday, but still a lot of people. The service was not bad either for a chinese restaurant. I didn’t think the food was outstanding, but overall it wasn’t bad. If I was looking for a cheap restaurant and don’t have much time, this would be it.

Fortune City Seafood is a large Chinese restaurant located on the top floor of the complex at 1st and Renfrew. As with most Chinese restaurants located in mini mall complexes, I detest the parking (or maybe its just the other drivers that I detest). In any event, we came by for dim sum in late June. Check out our dinner post from this restaurant a few years ago.We started out with the Steamed Rice with Spareribs and Pumpkin served in a clay pot. I really would have liked this better if it had some lap cheong (Chinese sausage) in it. As it was, it felt kind of plain. The Siu Mai was okay the pork and shrimp filling were plump.I know it seems to be a bit of a trend on this post, but the Steamed Beef Balls were okay, nothing overly wrong with it but also nothing great either.OMG, another just okay item The Pan Fried Radish Cake with XO sauce was topped with a bit too many sprouts and didnt have much XO flavour. The best item that we tried on this visit was the Chinese Donut Rice Rolls. The crunchy Chinese donut was encased in a velvety smooth rice wrapper and served with the traditional hoisin and peanut sauces.By and large, most dim sum dishes here arent going to wow you. Still, nothing overly wrong with the food. Just your typical, run-of-the-mill, dim sum joint. pennyandrusty.wordpress.com
