Great experience. I just randomly walked in here on a Sunday before noon. I ordered (my choice of) ‘soup and sandwich’. Sandwich products are a bit sub bar (luncheon-meat turkey etc) but amazing bowl of veg-beef soup, and a great cappuccino. A super-nice, congenial owner / server, called Giancarlo by all the patrons / regulars, all of which were male, between 20 and 80, and mostly speaking Italian. Such a jovial, jocular vibe in the place (like at my tree fort when I was 13 (ie:’no girls allowed’ lol). They appeared to be gearing up for the soccer game on the TV. It was a like a free slice of Italy on my sunny Vancouver day off. Ciao!
I’ve been a regular for years and go at least once a week for their breakfast, steaming hot homemade soup or delicious panini sandwiches. My coffee is always made to order, hot and delicious. The atmosphere is laid-back and comfortable and the staff is friendly. Giancarlo treats everyone like they are family.
