Ambience: the decor Reflects the Ethiopian culture Food : It was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine. The vegetarian platter was huge served with Ethiopian style bread(Injira). The curries in the platter had great taste specially the lentils and the cabbage curry !!!!!Price is reasonable!*Wanna try a new cuisine , should visit this place.

I used to love going here, but last week my friend and I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Literally – this is not an exaggeration.Today, we drove to the place for lunch, thinking it would be less crowded, and their website and Google Maps both show that they open at noon on Tuesdays. We went there to find disappointment, and a locked door.I won’t ever be heading back again!

Food is good but the waiting time was ridiculous. Last time we had to wait for more than an hour for our food on a Saturday yet I did notice the kitchen seemed understaffed. Though, I thought the plating of the food would be a lot nicer. Regardless, order their honey wine! It’s so good! 🙂

Harambe Ethiopian is located close to commercial broadway sky train station making it fairly easy to get to. When entering the restaurant, I was greeted so kindly and the service was phenomenal the whole time. So I will admit, I was pretty excited to try this cuisine…. but it disappointed me. I ordered the chefs combination platter which consisted of a lot of different options on top, it was also accompanied by injera. Injera is a type of sourdough bread that is thin and spongy, I found this to be fairly sour and had a interesting texture and it just wasnt for me. I found the options on the platter to be more enjoyable as some of the options were a little spicy and it did have a lot of variety for everyone to try. Although the service was wonderful and the options were ok, I wouldnt come back.
