This used to be one of our favourite spots but during the last four visits we have not received what we ordered. By the time we get home with our takeout, it is too late to turn back. The last visit we even went in to order in person, hoping it would avoid miscommunication, but received a rice dish instead of the noodle dish we requested. We are tired of paying for dishes we do not want.
Google reviews led me this to placeAmbiance: In my opinio there is non, you sit where you like and they come take your order.Food: chicken curry or shrimp curry: very heavy coconut milk base, it was delicious a little overpowering. There are large pieces of onions and pepper and less meat so eventually you just eat veggies with curry sauce. Comes with Sticky Rice.
Serves one of the few Cantonese style curry. My love will always be the curry beef brisket. At $11.25, the portion is huge and along with the rice can serves two so it’s actually not expensive. Service is quick and efficient, the food very tasty. The only drawback, though no fault of the restaurant, is they have limited parking spots. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you crave some Cantonese comfort food.
came here due to my friend’s recomendation, and well it was definitely okay in my opinion, not really something that i’ll remember for sure, the price for the taste was just okay. although we did order a few dishes that were different such as the curry crab that pikes the price, but the taste was just okay, maybe i’m the type of person who enjoys something that is really savoury for dinner. and maybe the choices that i made was poor choices as well. overall the food was just okay not as good as i had. mangkr.wordpress.com
Open late so my friends and I came in looking for good food. I like their booths and the restaurant itself is nice for a hole in wall joint. Understaffed but still attentive. Food took a bit to come out but it was good. Worth a try, especially if it’s past 11 pm.
Great service, the two ladies at the counter were very nice and offered us tea while we waited for our takeout order. But that’s all I can say that’s good about this place. 🙁 I ordered BBQ pork on rice, and the pork was very tough and dry, and didn’t have enough fat or flavour. The meat to rice ratio was a little off too, I think this is one of the places that gives the least pork. The rice was also pretty overcooked, half of it was almost too hard to eat. I can excuse them for the bad BBQ pork, but rice is definitely something they should be able to get right. Wouldn’t come back again.
Wow their award winning curry crab was delicious. We had their late night menu and it was no dissapointment. Many small plate dishes. We had their in house tapioca pudding dessert which takes about 20 minutes to be done, really worth waiting for… Gat dang.
