A pretty popular Chinese restaurant in the neighbourhood. The food is pretty solid and service is decent. The place is open late; therefore, it seems to be always busy at night.
Sept 25, 2016 – I think something is wrong with me as all the other people are giving this place a 4.0 rating and raving how good it is, but I’m only giving this place a 3.0 (the standard)I had high hopes for this place since it was frequented by gangsters and people staring everyone down and smoking and drinking. (smoking and drinking outside of course) I wasn’t feeling the dinner so I didn’t enjoy or eat too much. They play musical chairs with the customers too much, from the time we came in 3 tables got moved, us twice. The food is pretty standard but with the slightly higher price compared other places I expected it to be phenomenal, but it wasn’t really. At least then make it up in quantity, that wasn’t happening either. Maybe each individual dish we ordered, it was better elsewhere. Nothing fancy or special just, regular Chinese food.The place was pretty busy, perhaps this restaurant isn’t meant for family style and is meant for late night snacks.
Overall Kwan Luck was a good experience. -The service was mediocre due to the fact that there was one server serving all tables -My family and friends had the Alaskan Crab dinner and it was delicious -The staff was informative on how the crab would be prepared which was a plus
Tonight 10:30. The restaurant is full house. We only wait for five minutes. The service is friendly. We order a lots of food for 4 of us. They give us the big table. I love scallop, oyster, chicken knee, duck dish, ….We are so happy the food are so good.
I’ve always came here for healthy and declicious food. no doubt this is one of the restaurants in vancouver which i came all the way from to eat food. not just for it’s deliciousness and healthiness.I came here a couple times already and most of the time I’ll be ordering a free range whole chicken hot pot with other items such as veggies sauteed with garlic, and some seafood items. the Price i’ll say it’s slightly a little bit more expensive (around $15- at most $20 per person) than i want it to be, but due to the the rareness of the food quality. I’m willing to pay up that extra payment for something healthy and delicious at the same time.yea will definitely recommend this place, the place is you can feel it’s so cantonese, but the servers are topnotch! 🙂 keep it up. mangkr.wordpress.com
Friendly staff and tasty food. We ordered the snails and steamed crystal noodles with spare ribs in black bean sauce and were pleasantly surprised! Overall, a good late night find!
If it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all. These are hardcore Hongers who pander mainly to their chinese clientele. Not recommended if your white. It’s also a spot frequented by chinese gangsters. Food is good tho, but a tad over priced. Kitchen looks filthy as well.
