Terrible service. I had a chubby younger blond girl take my payment after I ordered the panini, she was absolutely rude, impatient, and short with me for reasons I do not know. It was my first time at this place and I was so looking forward to it. They need to let this girl quit if she hates being there so much.

I don’t care what property you think you own on Commercial Drive. Being a decent human being is essential to any business operation. I will make sure I never eat here ever again!!! Disgusting.

Worst Service Ever. I didn’t know it was possible to be so unknowledgeable and rude while cutting up salamis and prosciutto. My boyfriend and I came into this store to get some meat and cheese. The person helping us was rude, spoke like a trucker and was unhelpful with selection. When I asked for spanish prosciutto she said you dont want that and proceeded to cut italian. When I asked for several types of salami she began to get irritated that I wanted so much, and rolled her eyes at me. When we went to pay the cashier bagged everything up and wish me a good day… when we got home the prosciutto was missing from our bag but charged on our bill.. when we called in to let them know they told us we left it ON THE MEAT COUNTER… which is about 15 feet away from the cash register, how did he charge us for it if we left it on the other side of the store.I honestly will never go there again, there is so many choices for excellent cheeses and meats especially on the drive. I am sticking with Bosa foods with has 10 x’s the selection, and a much more pleasant and knowledgeable staff. thymelovehunger.wordpress.com
Best in the city. Now, this is not just a sandwich place, but to be honest that’s all that I look at. One of my favorite places for sandwiches in vancouver, i cant pass by commercial drive and NOT enter here. Yeah, my addiction/loyalty or whatever you want to call it is THAT bad. Love the paninis and foccacia are my tops on the list. You can choose everything on the menu so make sure you are not a nervous wreck when having to choose the type of cheese, meat, olives you want, lol. The only advise I have here is to keep a place in mind once you purchase your food – there is no seating here, the sandwiches are made to go.
Fantastic sandwiches and great selection of other Italian deli items. Pretty packed around lunch time, but the staff are quick, friendly and efficient.
