I live near McKim and I’ve been patronizing the restaurant perhaps once every 2-3 months for several years. It is not bad but not great. I ordered takeout a few days ago and the dish of veggie had some of it still being wrapped around with a rubber band (photo attached) and there was a hair in the wanton. This leads me to think they probably don’t wash the veggie before cooking them.

came here during dinner and the 3 of us were, hmmm actually it was only me, i was craving for some canto style cart noodle/wonton noodle, and this place is one of the better ones, and we ordered a fish, it was great as well, not sure what is the style of cooking, the tea is barley tea 😀 love it and the pork bone soup is awesome as well love everything and the price is very very valuable for the portion and taste mangkr.wordpress.com

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, from the outside this place may seem dumpy, but they do serve tasty food for reasonable prices. We ordered the dry scallop and egg white fried rice, good flavour and not too oily either. The congee is quite good as well, the house special chow mein was big, but we probably wouldn’t order it again, we’ve had better. The service was good here and as mentioned prices are fair. Another positive is that this place is open very late. We would come back.

Our group finished watching inferno at cineplex. We wanted a cheap late night menu and we decided to try out wonton mein saga for the first time. The front of the restaurant has plenty of parking. It didn’t look like anything out front but upon entering it looks like the renos were done nicely. We ordered the late night special menu of small dishes to share. Congee, soup of the day, and dessert is complementary. I must say it’s decent for pricing and late night eats. Our service was amazingly fantastic. Our server had wore glasses and always replenished our drinks and ask if we needed more napkins. We had a great time. I would go back again.

Honestly, the best food ever. I’ve been going here since they were in Richmond. The food is always consistently good. Wonton noodles are amazing and the dinners are always just the right amount of food and flavour. Can’t go wrong, I bring my family here all the time. Weekends gets busy so go right when they open!

This review is for DINNER TAKE-OUT order NOT sitting and eating inside the restaurant. TAKE OUT dinner portion was pathetic, as you can see from the photos, it barely touched the top of the lid of the takout container. This was picked up at 5:30pm, so it was before any dinner rush. This was the scallop white egg fried rice and house special chow mein. I asked for extra crispy noodles and yet they put the sauce on top (which they should have separated into 2 containers, but I guess you have to ask specifically to be separated). At the price I paid, it was NOT worth it. However, I must say that eating at the restaurant numerous times before, I would give it full stars as the quality and portion were decent. Saying that, I’m suspecting that they are waiting to be brought out as Tops restaurant’s owner is retiring late August 2016 and I’m sure a Developer’s is wanting the land. I hope your experience with TAKE OUT will be better than ours!
