Quiet atmosphere, friendly staff and great coffee. The mocha was great and not too sweet either. No comfortable seating for long periods but a little patio for the sunny days.
The coffee is very good! It’s a smooth roast with a lower acidity but a slight bitter aftertaste. I’d definitely come back for the coffee but not the food. I ordered the bruschetta avocado toast and the avocado was brown and the eggs were over done and cold.
One of the best coffee shops in east Vancouver! Well exterior and interior designs! Settings can be found inside the outside the cafe. If you are sitting on the upper floor, you can see how their staff make sandwiches or their food, take orders and make coffee. We ordered a latte, flat white and classic French croissant. They were excellent! When we were eating the classic French croissant, we wanted to order more addicting to their food. Their latte and flat white were very good that they had their own character, style and flavour. We really wouldn’t mind to drink them every day! If we would be in the same neighbourhood, we must have come back to try other coffee drinks and food/pastries. Unfortunately they were sold out of their almond croissants when we got there at noon!
The first thing you see walking in here is the huge set up of coffee roasting. There is some serious coffee roasting they have going on in the adjacent room! Yes, you may have guessed it, the coffee is really the star of the show here. I opted for the Americano, it’s $2.85 for any size (so you can go as large as you can!) This coffee was exceptional, I didn’t need any cream or sugar, as I think that would just ruin the taste of this. There is a lot of seating here, smaller tables upstairs where you can study, do homework, chill and read something from their selection of magazines (which you don’t find at many coffee shops, props right there!) I think if I wasn’t so full from brunch, I would have liked to try their baked goods or even a panini sandwich. See you next time Pallet Roasters! porkninjas.ca
Found this gem one day after having lunch at Basho. The coffee is great, staff are friendly, and their sandwiches are perfect to my taste! I’ve been here so many times to try out all their sandwiches and I’m still not tired of it!!! YUM!!It’s just sad that I live so far away otherwise I would’ve visited this place more often :)Thumbs up
