The food was okay, but the service was horrendous – enough to make me never want to come back.I don’t expect great service from a Pho place, but I expect human decency – that staff will care about their customer’s security, and won’t belittle their customers. While I was there, I noticed another customer at the table next to mine being awkwardly near my bag. I moved my bag out of his way, and noticed that the zippers were all undone. I’m certain that I hadn’t left my bag like this. When I called the other customer out, he ran out the door. My brother chased after him, but the other customer took out a weapon, and my brother backed off.I told the waitresses what had happened, and I noticed that the restaurant had security cameras. I asked if they could review the footage; perhaps they had caught the other customer on camera. The waitress said that she didn’t know how to operate the cameras, but that the restaurant owner would be visiting the restaurant in two days, from 9 am to 12 pm, and could answer my questions then. I asked the waitress if I could leave my number with her for the owner to call, but she said that it would be better that I come in myself. That night, I called the cops to report the other customer’s behaviour, but they said without security footage, they couldn’t make a report.I took the day off work from 9 am to 12 pm so I could see the owner, and review the footage. Yet, when I called the waitress that morning, she said that the owner no longer planned to come in, and would maybe be coming in later that day. She also said that young kids like me (I’m in my 20s, mind you) should be more careful with their belongings. She was victim-blaming, and I’d taken the day off for nothing.I then asked to leave my number for the owner to call me the next time he was in. I never heard back.I’ve tried calling again since, but the staff just haven’t been very helpful. You’d think they would care about the security of their customers, but they haven’t expressed any concern. This other customer, who’d gone through my bag and was carrying weapons, could totally just come in the restaurant any other time to attempt to rob another customer. The restaurant staff here could have totally prevented that.

Such a shame… this place was one of my all time favourites for a while. It feels as if there may be new ownership or a change in leadership here. Prices are up, portions and quality are down. I ordered a large no.8 pho with extra beef, the broth was like water and lacked any real flavour. Worse still an order of spring rolls is now $7.50! Will not be visiting for a while. They did some painting and put a new sink in the back, maybe that’s where the money for quality went?

Server put a bowl of hot pho right infront of my 9 month old. Before I could push it away, my son put his hand in it. Good thing he was ok. Adding to that, the portions were tiny. We both left unsatisfied and upset

I went to this restaurant on a Friday night, no waiting, self seating, servers were talking among themselves, needed to wave them down to order, I ordered three kind of meat with Brocken rice, the three meat were pork chop, sheared pork and pork egg pie, the taste was ok at best, they claim that this restaurant was voted 2nd best Vietnamese restaurant and don’t I agree with that, there are many more better than this place, I would not recommend going here, just go to Phnom Penh or Au petit instead.

The service really kills it for me. They once forgot someone’s order at my table for over 20 minutes…its a bowl of pho! The food is really cheap and tastes fine but I don’t go just because its so unpleasant.

I ordered the #15, which was the combination bowl, and was slightly disappointed by the lack of medium rare beef I actually got in my soup. Furthermore, two out of the four of my friends, including myself, had a big issue with the noodles clumping together. The broth was standard, but seemed to have too strong of a green onion taste for my liking.Given that, it may been the fact that we went to the place right when it opened so things were still prepping and getting ready. Service-wise, I was content as it is just a typical Pho joint in Vancouver.
