Love that they do simple, straightforward pasta dishes without all the bells and whistles that you get in so many places now. Most of their dishes have 4-5 ingredients and I really enjoyed all the pastas that we tried. Would highly recommend the spaghetti and meatballs for your first visit.

The food was way below average as they seem to have forgot to add salt (or taste the food before serving). Ordered the linguine vongole and mushroom risotto and both dish needed salt. Vongole generally gets season with the clam/juice, but either really old clams were used and uncleaned where the sand was very present. The dish eventually was returned and barely touched. The Manager gave us a hard time to remove the dish off the bill and blamed it on the server. Incredibly unprofessional (and petty and not the first time he has done this). The bites of the risotto tasted ok if there was Parmesan reggiano was there, but too little to enjoy the whole dish. Rock cod was over cooked and lack salt again. Will not return to this place again or recommend it to anyone.
Pasta was fresh and flavourful. Food was satisfying but nothing exceptional. Service was attentive and friendly. Decor is outdated and could use a refresh inside and out.
went with a couple buddies for dine out vancouver on our way to see steel panther(look them up). appy was 4 chicken tortellini in some peppered stock. the pasta was amazing. the broth had ZERO salt in it. the bread that came out was day old and very chewy. main was veal scaloppine with veggies. very good but again lacking salt. i don’t use much salt so anything that is over or under seasoned is very noticeable. dessert was tiramisu. that was awesome. waitstaff was great. fun night out. i’d go again.
Being Italian I guess I’m just that more picky. This place has food that reminds me of home cooked meals that you would get straight from Italy. All their dishes are great.
There are better Italian restaurants around. Admittedly it has been a while, but the food was on the low side of mediocre. If price is your main concern in going out for Italian, go to Anton’s or stay home and cook an Italian meal yourself.
