Best cafe patio in the city to sit when its nice out. It can be hard to snag spot though, its a busy place. My americano was ok, my friends latte was awesome, and my apricot cookie was good (their muffins looked better, but the lady in front of me got the last 🙁 ). Ill be back for sure because I think its the best cafe in a fifteen minute walking radius of my house.

Stale Sour dough Toast and Soy Latte order made with normal milk. Paid $3 for sour dough toast, wasn’t worth the high price for 2 pcs of rather unappealing pieces of stale bread that tasted a couple days old. Ordered a soy green tea latte, paid the extra $0.50 for the soy. After drinking it half way, my suspicions that it tasted like normal milk became clear and we asked the server about it, who at first said he made it with milk but quickly changed his answer when we mentioned that I was lactose intolerant… and assured us that he did make it with soy. He offered to refund the $0.50… but that clearly wasnt the point, my stomach wasn’t too happy for the remainder of the day, not impressed with the service and lack of quality with the high price tag of their drinks either. Will never go again, too many other cafe’s to choose from that will provide the product you expect with high prices, & not just charge high prices just because you’re located on trendy Commercial Drive.

The only place on the drive with a decent cappuccino paired with terrible service. The owner is great which is why I come back. But it’s 9:30am on a Saturday morning and half your baked goods are sold out and your dumb staff forgets our coffee order. Give me a break.
