The breakfast here was great. I didn’t have to wait for a table on Saturday luckily. The restaurant was very busy though. Lineup at the entrance of the restaurant started around 11am. If you don’t want to wait for a table, come here earlier. The interior of the restaurant looked old (not modern) but I enjoyed it especially the food and service. The menu was simple but it included a wide variety of breakfast for customers. The portion of each dish was about the right size. They used free range eggs for bennys and omelettes. The baked potatoes tasted fabulous! The salad on the side was fresh. The servers were friendly and checked on our needs once in a while. They wouldn’t rush the customers to leave even though they had finished their meals quickly. The restaurant is located on East Hastings. It sounds like we had to look for parking on this busy street, but no! Just simply looked for parking on other streets or residential areas. The closer you park the higher chance you have to pay for a parking meter. Just drive two blocks away. You can find free parking on the street. My conclusion is that I would love to come here for breakfast or brunch, but not IHOP, Denny’s and White Spot.
Had their three free ranged egg tomato, Brie and green onion egg omelette, with roasted sweet and regular potatoes, salad and buttered toast with cranberry(?) jam – it was delicious! (See pic I had posted). Thoroughly enjoyed it. The only drawback was that the wifi was borrowed from a neighbouring cafe and it was not that good, but I was by myself, so it should not matter if you go with friends 🙂
Always top notch bennys here. Had the ham benny. Perfectly cooked free range eggs and a tasty hollandaise tops it off. It gets busy here but the food comes quickly and they always make sure to top off your coffee.
Came in for brunch over the weekend, it’s a small place and quite busy. They had a pretty limited staff, but they seemed to do the best they could given the circumstances. I had a special, pulled pork benny, my friend had huevos rancheros. The eggs on the benny were perfectly cooked, the hollandaise was good and the pulled pork was amazing. Homemade ketchup on the potatoes was top notch. For how busy it was I thought the food came out in a decent time, and someone always seemed to be around to top up my coffee and water.
So good! The Cobb burger blew my mind, the service today was very awesome and we had fun! I can’t believe I haven’t been there before but I will be back
Will defiantly be back. I got the tofu scramble which I didn’t expect sauted vegetables and chunks of tofu but it was very good regardless and I love so much how everything is organic and the variety of egg Benny that will bring me back to try, I also hear the lavender milkshakes are a staple when going there.
Great atmosphere , friendly servers and good food 🙂
