Worst Korean food and service in Vancouver! The older woman who’s probably the owner is so inattentive and has such a horrible attitude. First, she rudely threw the menu at us and left. When we waved to ask for refills, she clearly saw us and we made eye contact multiple times but she ignored us again and again. The restaurant was nearly empty so I can’t understand why she would treat her customers like that. When we asked her why she ignored us when paying the bill, she even made a lame excuse and said she didn’t see us! Don’t work in the service industry if you don’t want to deal with people! The food was also extremely disappointing and as others have pointed out, this restaurant has the worst side dishes you could imagine. The kimchi is way too heavy with the sauces and the sweetened potato is hard and difficult to swallow. The soybean sprout tasted off like it was very old and everything was unimpressive. Side dishes are very important when you’re eating Korean food so this was very upsetting. The sliced beef soup with noodles was below average as well as the soup didn’t have the rich taste it’s supposed to have. It tasted very watery and didn’t have much flavour even after adding salt and pepper. I would never recommend this place to anyone wanting to eat good Korean food!

My girlfriend and I wanted to have dimsum at dai tung. Unfortunately the wait time was too long. We stumbled upon a Korean spot that was open. The reviews were high here so we decided to give it a try.We weren’t too sure what to order. We randomly got the bibimpop which is delicious. But the star dish was the seafood soft tofu soup, wow!!! They used real chilies and Jalapeno and didn’t use heavy amounts of gojujang paste that makes it salty. I absolutely fell in love with this dish. I’m definitely coming back to try other items. Service was minus half a star.

April 23, 2017I went there for lunch today. I was planning to try their ox tail soup , after I read the review.. But I couldn’t find it from the menu. It’s end up….I had tried :seafood tofu soup ( it’s not worth $8.99 for 1 pc each of mussels and shrimp/ lots of tofu with tasteless soup, so disappointed);bbq saba ( a lot of bones/ fishy/ extremely salty/ not crispy)Fried dumplings in korean style…( it’s so good/ thin skin/ a lot of chives and pork inside/ highly recommend )Their services are extremely slow… took them 10 minutes to serve me tea.. Half hour for side dish… an hour for my food with less than 4 tables of customers around 2 pm.Their prices are cheap/ didn’t see this cheap price in Richmond and downtown for long time. For the tofu soup… I rather to go to morak , which’s near metropolis instead.

We came here with friends and ordered the Korean style dumplings, seafood soft tofu soup and gam ja tang (pork stew). Overall I enjoy the food here and it is definitely authentic Korean restaurant. The food has lots of flavour and the quality is good also. We ordered the seafood pancake the second time we went there but it didn’t taste very good. It had mostly potatoes and hardly any seafood so I will skip this dish the next time I go there. The restaurant was busy with only one waiter. The waiter really missed on certain orders but he was waiting every tables so the owners should hire more waiters to help out. Definitely one of Korean places I would go back.

probably the best ox tail soup, Korean styple dumpling (steamed) and Kimchi in Vancouverdon’t get to come out this part of town too often, but a great little place for homestyle Korean food

This place has been our go to place for Korean food in Vancouver for a while now and still is. They have been around for a long time and has a mom and pop homey feel to it. In my opinion, their only competition is Sura but they are located quite far from both of Sura’s locations. They serve really good Korean food at reasonable prices. They can also fit a ton of people in their restaurant and can easily accommodate large groups. Their only drawback is their lack of staff which cause the service to lag at times. However, the last time we went there we were not served the usual Korean lady who works as the solo server, but a younger lady who is related to the owners. The service was prompt and we had a great meal. I would say they have the best Korean food in Vancouver. They also have a ton of free parking around their block.
