Pathetic high tea. Some of the sweets were good, but the portions are tiny, and the savoury items are honestly kind of gross: canned salmon and packaged ham, anyone? Service was weird, being super slow since only one person was working there and he had to wash all the dishes by hand apparently. Tea was good, though there are no descriptions about what the flavour of anything is on the menu.Save your money.
Silly Place, Silly Prices.. Popped in here one day whilst I was doing some Christmas shopping on Main St. Simply wanted a cup of tea to go. Server made it for me then dropped the bomb – it was $4 something. I was justifiably a bit taken aback. She explain that it was really good tea, but if I didn’t want it, that was fine. So then she walks over to the sink and DUMPS IT. Silly prices. Even sillier server with a freaky nasty attitude. Somebody needs to sort her out. I left the place pissed off and thirsty.
Good oolong. While the service has been occasionally questionable, the environment and amazing teas make up for it. I love stopping in here.
Great tea!. I’ve been here a few times, mostly alone and once on a date. To start, the tea here is FANTASTIC. i’ve tried a good number of them and they have all been delicious. The ladies that work here.. some are nice, some aren’t. It really depends when you go. They have never rushed me out the door though, so i’ve had good experiences here mostly. Definitely recommend this place!
Repeat Customer. I buy 100 grams of their Hunan Organic Green Tea every months or so. It is a fine green tea. Practically a Bai Mu Tan/White Peony in flavour. As to the service. Yes it’s true. Sometimes people have bad days, and they work in the service industry. The only way to deal with that is to get over the idea that you need everyone to treat you like royalty every establishment you patronize. Otherwise, odds are, eventually you won’t patronize any establishment due to having had bad service everywhere.
Tea was good but service not so much. I might not have gone in in the first place if I had seen the reviews prior to my visit. After dinner, my friend and I was looking for a coffee shop and found this cute tea room. Ordered a chai service(?) for two (which came out to be around $9.00) and the unsweetened chai was quite nice. But before ordering, we asked which tea we should try chai with to the server. She briefly explained different teas but felt that we were bothering her with our questions.Anyways, I would probably go there again if I am around that area but I feel they could definitely improve their services.
Delicious tea and cakes. I love the decor, the tea and the desserts here. Their teas are of very good quality.I agree with others that the service can be mixed, depending on who is working. On one visit, a staffer there made my day with her knowledgeable, attentive service. On a different visit, another staffer made me feel quite unwelcome. onewetfoot.ca
