Let’s just say I am truly disappointed and don’t understand how it got this high rating.Service:Slow, very slow. Don’t don’t here if you are hungry. Waited almost half an hour after ordering for the first dish of sashimi to arrive at our table which consisted of 4 pieces of uni sashimi. Waited 10-15 minutes each for each of the subsequent dish of sushi/sashimi.Quality:Quality of the sashimi, given the miniature size and at that price range was sub-par to many sushi bars in Vancouver to be honest. There were tendons/chewy pieces inside the hamachi sashimi. However, overall the assorted sashimi tasted pretty fresh. What really took marks off from their food quality is their rice on the sushi. The rice was overcooked to the point that it tasted wet and you can’t really feel the solid texture of Japanese rice.Value:Sashimi pieces were tiny and very thinly cut. We’ve spent around $30 a person and it didn’t feel like we’ve eaten anything. At this price range and this portion, you would be expecting a superior cut or taste but neither were found.

I love this place. Small and cozy with yummy fresh tasting sushi that comes with the right proportion of rice. One of the best sushi place in town.
I went there in December with my family based on the reviews – what a mistake. The service was staggeringly slow and unfriendly, and the portions were small.We ordered a lunch set and it took 45 minutes to arrive. Incredible. It was pretty empty as well, and there were no explanations from anyone about the timing of the food. The so-called waitress didn’t greet or talk to us. She did disappear into the back several times, and I saw other customers wait and wait and wait to order.When we did get our lunch set, it was then another ordeal to get our other sushi. Basically our order of 5 different pairs of sushi came out individually over 30-40 minutes… Each time, it was a tiny plate of two pieces of sushi for the three of us. Then it was another 10 minute wait for another tiny plate with two pieces of sushi. What kind of place does this???I have no idea how this place gets such good reviews, but I can certainly say, I’d avoid it at all costs. The have no idea of service or how to prepare or serve food.
Low volume and high price. We just ordered 4 different sushi, we spent almost 40bucks and we still hungry….we will never go there again.. the most important thing is I think the sushi are tasteless.
Way overpriced, for what you get. Quality ingredients, however, nothing special about this place that warrants that type of pricing. The worst part about the experience, we ordered a mixed green salad, and it came at the end of the meal. Who does that?
