Whether it’s takeout or dine in, we always experience good service from here. The rolls are creative and prices are quite decent. My wife and I love their seared salmon sushi, awesome roll, and beef karaage.

Had heard this was suppose to be a good sushi place, decided to try it as relatively close by. The sashimi was mediocre, slices were pretty small and the cutting technique seemed off. Maki rolls were like any other Japanese restaurant, they had some interesting creations but they lacked flavour. I really wanted to like this place but sadly, it didn’t live up to the expectation.

We’ve been several times to Susholic over the years. We’ve recommended it to our friends. The food has always been good and the service sharp. But recently something has happened here. My favorites do not look the same anymore. For example, the Sockeye salmon roll used to actually be completely topped with a layer of sockeye and avocado. Now it has the thinnest possible layer of sockeye on about half of the roll.Another favorite, the Holic Sashimi Tower, used to have an obvious layer of salmon, an obvious layer of tuna and tomago. It was always topped with a pretty dark red roe. Now, you have to literally fish for the fish and there is no roe.I haven’t seen our usual server in a while. I’m wondering, has the restaurant been sold or taken on new management? You get one more chance Sushiholi, then we’re moving on if you don’t improve back to your usual 4.5 star standards.

Fantastic high quality sushi! The volcano roll and awesome roll are my favourites and they taste delicious. The chicken katsu is also really good if you’re craving hot food. The prices are on the affordable side too. This is by far the best sushi restaurant in the area in terms of taste, quality, and price.

The best item for the night was the seared toro nigiri. It was fatty and melt in my mouth. The rest of the dishes were sub par. Tuna gomae had rock hard frozen and bland tuna. The peanut sauce was too watered down. Dragon roll had big chucks of dime sized cucumber as filler. They didn’t even bother slicing it. I wasn’t very impressed as this was $13. The pan fried udon had too much sauce and way too sweet and acidic. Chopped scallop nigiri was just alright and not the freshest. Overall, I expected a little more for that price range.
