Doesn’t play team canada world junior games. Bad food. Poor service.
Had a good beer. It was a fun place to have a beer or two.
I live 3 blocks from this pub and I honestly go there because of convenience. The food isn’t bad and has improved. I’ve had worse nearby. A bit of stain on the deck to freshen it up would help. The choices of beers and wine have improved but still need more work. To get rid of the nachos from the menu just seems wrong. I hope there is a time Dunbar will eventually upgrade themselves along with The Dunbar pub.
Really GOOD!. Was worried from some of the other reviews, but it was Cute, Nice Patio, the Servers were very friendly and professional and the food was great! My husband had the Cajun Chicken burger and it was fresh, and delicious. We talked a little with the new Manager and he seemed great. Maybe the others should give it another try? Either way, we’ll be back! #dothedunbar
Won’t go Back!. The deck was lovely – the food and service was awful. The coffee was weak and undrinkable and the waitress was kind enough to exchange it for an ice tea. The beer we ordered which was on special was $5.35 was not even a full 8 oz glass! My breakfast which was a ham benedict came with compressed ham meat with runny egg whites and the ‘hash browns’ were deep fried potatoes. The smoked meat hash with vegetables and pan fried potatoes that my Husband ordered came with grilled smoked meat (dry as it was not steamed to warm it) on an English muffin with deep fried potatoes. I guess the sprigs of green onion was supposed to be the vegetables. When told the waitress it was incorrect – she insisted this was how it was to be served. She clearly doesn’t know the menu and the menu isn’t what is being served. We explained to both our waitress and the only other staff member in site that this was not acceptable. There was no apology or explanation offered. Upon protest, my bill was reduced by $12. I will not return.
Never again…. Overpriced, frozen, and poorly cooked/presented/executed.pretty sure the only reason they’re still here is because of location and they serve overpriced pints (over $8 for 1664 blanc pints, yikes!).avoid and go elsewhere, unless you like paying too much for hungover cooks to make you well below restaurant quality food, and way too high of prices.
Worth a visit. I’ve discovered the place about two months ago, from a recommendation of a friend. A great place to hang out – delicious food, friendly service, great atmosphere. Highly recommended!
