We (my family and many friends) have been long time customers with Vietnam House Restaurant, since it was still owned under the name: Thai Hung Vietnam Restaurant. I believe the waitress, at the time of Thai Hung Vietnam, took over the restaurant and named Vietnam House Restaurant. She is currently the owner, and working as the kitchen chef, just like how the wife of old Thai Hung owner worked in the kitchen.Anyway, on the food, we love their pho, their noodles and their rice combos. At the old time, they were the only Vietnam restaurant uses the particular type of pho noodles. We enjoyed their lemon grass pork chop, or chicken for all those chicken lover. We enjoyed their rare slice beef pho noodles… many more other menu items.Their services are friendly and generally reasonable on greeting and others. We met few different waiters and waitress throughout the decades. Some staffs are more friendly than others, and some staffs are slightly cold on the attitude. We particularly enjoy the current waitress and the current owner (when she was still waitress)We would give a 5 stars, but the tastes lately have been changing inconsistently . Sometimes, too salty, sometimes, less fresh, sometime, everything is good, and sometimes nothing is the same. We hope they would continue to work the consistency of food tastes, as the tastes have been generally consistent for past 10 years. But again, we do understand the fact of all ingredients costs increase, so substitute expensive ones with cheap ones is definitely business interests.Hopefully, the food tastes can return to consistent level. Nevertheless, we will continue to enjoy Vietnam House Restaurant until it is probably closed in the future or if we move out Vancouver.

I love love LOVE their Lemongrass Chicken. From the very first time I had it, I haven’t ordered or tried anything else on all the other visits after. It’s flavorful, tasty, juicy… always comes out fresh from the grill. Good quality chicken.

We usually call in to order takeout. Seems like new owners and different name. The food taste ok, but a lot more greasy than other Vietnamese places I go to. The Che Ba Mau (3-color dessert drink) is horrible as they don’t use coconut milk. Instead they used heavy cream/milk and doesn’t taste like the original stuff. The ice cubes are really chunky.

Really great! Whenwe are done and ready to go, waitress Offered dessert. Love it! The noodle has way more ingredients than what’s offered in Coquitlam.

Good service. The woman that usually serves my boyfriend and I always greets us with a smile and asks me how I am. The pho is delicious and everything is so cheap!! =)

FOOD is soo delicous, best in town. Service is GREAT, no complaints, the staff are very friendly. The best pho ive ever eaten, and ive been to alot of vietnamese restaurants and this is by far the best. I reccomond for anyone to try this because i love this place and more customers would help in the longevity of its staying

The waiter in this restaurant (the small guy with spiky hair) is the RUDEST person I’ve EVER talked to!
