Best little spot for coffee… And maybe some yummy desserts too!. I love this place! I’m often downtown and always make sure to stop in and grab coffee and a sweet treat. The baked goods are delicious and always so fresh. I especially love the cinnamon buns! They cater to everyone with their vegetarian and gluten free options which are always very clearly marked, no having to ask! There are many drinks to choose from both cold and hot and there are always fun seasonal drinks. Much more selection than other coffee shops! The service is awesome as well. I always look forward to getting my coffee here because the staff are so friendly and always very helpful, whenever I go in I feel right at home, nice and cozy. Another asset that makes the Craked pot so neat and different from other coffee stops is the little gift shop section. They feature different creations from people around the community, everything from paintings, to greeting cards, to pandora bracelet beads, and even locally made scarves. As far as coffe shops go this is the BEST PLACE no doubts in my mind!

Not what I was hoping for. Soup was reheated and tasted like it was in the fridge for a week. Why would you even serve that to me???? Took a long time to pour a coffee and over all an awkward and uncomfortable experience. Maybe it’ll be better next time? If there is a next time.

Bad customer service, unoriginal food. My first Cracked Pot dining experience was a couple years ago. The food wasn’t great; day-old pastries, pasta salad and sliced quiche that had been sitting in plastic wrap in the display cooler for too long. I thought the place was going out of business and cut them some slack. It took the staff 15 minutes to warm a muffin. At lunch today a few of us decided to try the Cracked Pot again. Its close to our office. The service was slow and ANNOYING. Again I found myself standing around, waiting for my order. But this time, we had to listen to the woman behind the counter making snide jokes with one of her regulars about another patron. Thats bad business. Good thing for her she already had our money. The best thing about the Cracked Pot in Vernon is their downtown location.. and maybe that busker who was playing music on the sidewalk outside the store. We gave him a tip.

Away from Home. I lived in Vernon for three months when I was 17 doing a volunteer program, and one of my favourite places to visit was the Cracked Pot. I came down with a very bad cold once, and the employees were incredibly helpful and friendly, recommending the best teas to soothe my symptoms. I would stop here every morning on my way to work and between the absolutely delicious drinks and the friendly service, it was one of the best parts of my day. I wish they had one of these places back home.

Friendly Service. Always great, friendly service and delicious coffee and food (we’ve been there probably 25 to 30 times). The owners must have changed because we’ve met the lady who owns it and she is very friendly and respectful and generous. The staff are happy, and even gave me a cinnamon pull-apart bun on credit because I didn’t have enough cash. ( I paid them the next time I was in.)

Owner incredibly rude. The owner of the downtown location is incredibly rude. On November 27th at the Downtown Lightup, I personally saw him yelling obscenities at the head of the downtown Vernon association. This is an evening for families and young children and I was appalled to see a grown man doing this. I have also been in the store, which can’t decide if it’s a coffee house or gift shop. And the staff didn’t know what a French Press was. Skip this place altogether and hit the Bean Scene a few stores down.
