First off we are big fans of the Italian Kitchen, usually. We do not go out too often, and have not been to Italian Kitchen in a couple of years, so we thought it would be a great place for Valentines Day. We made a reservation for 7, we were called the next day and had our reservation pushed to 7:30, okay not a big deal, a little late for us but didn’t overthink it. The ambiance was great as per usual, a little more commotion than usual on the busy night so the romantic vibe was a little marred. After a longer than usual wait, we ordered our drinks, appetizer and meal all at once. We waited approx half an hour for drinks (Martini and a beer). Another half an hour for our starter (baked garlic) which came out stone cold and raw. I’ve never in my life sent something back, but raw garlic isn’t exactly appealing. Our pasta dishes were okay, the seafood in them was great! However a bit of fresh parmesan was missing, or a piece of bread for the leftover sauce. We wrapped it up there and decided for dessert at another location, since we didn’t feel like we were being taken after very well. There must have been a lack of communication with the staff as our bill still had the baked garlic, and not one person apologized or even asked why we felt we had to send it back. Overall, we both felt disappointed with the lack of attentiveness, and the waste of money for a night we did not enjoy.
Great Food, Aweful Service. The food is one of the best I’ve had in Vernon, however the last 2 visits I’ve had quite ignorant service. If you’re looking for great Italian food and argumentative servers I recommend this place.
Hmmm…. Have been here a total of 2 times. Both times the food tasted microwaved and the server was rude. Would love to give it another try due to all the advertisements it gives out but really stumped…
I was not amazed with the food, had the jambalaya and it was just alright. Our server didn’t mention any specials but then we over heard her mentioning them to the table beside us. Drinks were good. Ok experience in general.
Such A Great Restaurant. Have been going to this restaurant since it’s opening. Service is excellent, food is still top quality and so nice to see that the Manager actually visits the tables to enquire how everything is. I can’t say enough. I would recommend this establishment over any others for a lovely Italian dining experience.
The pollo alla fontina was delicious, but wasn’t impress with the creme brulee. We also had the carbonara and it wasn’t impressive either.
LOVED it!!! We came in to order some take out. Staff was very friendly!!! Very helpful!!! And our food was ready in 15 minutes. And SOOOO good. We will definitely be back again.
