Very nice cozy atmosphere, live music when we attended last night, smells great, good service, but the food was just okay. The four of us ordered different things and all agreed on a scale from 1 to 10 we would only give it 6 or 7 max. I had the $25 tomato Bianco penne with shrimp and scallops. I saw a total of two scallops and 5 small overcooked shrimp that tasted rubbery and not fresh. Pretty sure they were frozen. Hadn’t been there for a long time and had heard very mixed reviews from friends and family, so decided to try it again. The last time we had lasagna for lunch and it had definitely been previously frozen and thawed and looked and tasted like it had been heated up in the microwave. Such a shame that the food isn’t better because it’s a nice place to go. I have to admit we’ve all had better food at places like Boston Pizza for half the price! Come on, Italian Kitchen, step it up! Your reputation is in Vernon is getting to be pretty bad and you have such great potential!

I received the Steak Funghi and found the pasta to be too a la dente for my liking. The steak was over done as well, even though she told me it wouldn’t be. My friend ended up getting the seafood trio and she enjoyed hers, gluten free. Service was nice. Ambience was VERY loud from other tables. If you’re expecting to go here for a nice quiet romantic evening then you might not get it here.
