Great location in downtown Vernon, interior was very modern with a good atmosphere. Tried 7 types of rolls and of those 3 were exceptionally tasty (Volcano, Seafood Tempura and Naruto). Service was great, very helpful. Definately one of the top sushi locations in Vernon.
This restaurant left me with a mixed feeling. On the one hand, the venue is elegant and well kept. The service is very good. The food is above average, however they do use the same shredded crab that every other sushi place uses as well. The bottom line is that the food is over priced for the quality. I can get this same sushi from a lot of other places at a lower price.
My husband’s and my favorite sushi place ever. We’ve been to several sushi restaurants, and of all the places, Kawakubo is by far the best. The service and venue are very nice too. This place is definitely worth it.
