Awesome real Japanese place. I love Maharoba! We go there once a month for a special meal and enjoy the coziness of the place. The food is excellent! I’m from Vernon and I recently learned that though the other sushi places in town might make good sushi, Maharobas is the only sushi place owned and run by Japanese people!
Yum. Everything tasted very good. It’s slightly more expensive than some other places, but the quality of the food made up for it.
Wonderful experience today. Both the Ahi and Albacore tuna was fresh and delicious – along with the salmon roll. Service was very attentive and prices were reasonable. Nori in the sunomono was a little chewy but perhaps just me. Overall a definite thumbs up from this Victoria sushi snob! Thanks!
