In the clubhouse at Predator Ridge sits the Range restaurant with a well designed dining room and a beautiful view over the nearby golf course. The service is great and the food is well I would call it okay but where they really shine is the desserts. We tried several desserts sharing cheesecake, posset and chocolate cake. All were phenomenal but the highlight was the posset. I don’t know what those pastry chefs are doing back there but keep up the good work. Make sure you save room for dessert!
Ordered a lake country farms salad yesterday to go. It was tiny and mostly mixed greens with barely any golden beets. The beets seemed old because they were kind of slimy and would kind of stick together when I picked them up and a stringy goo would stretch out when I pulled them apart. I swear there was no dressing on the salad at all. And then one of the mixed green leafs was super old (I posted a pic) and I found another that still had dirt on the stem. I know it’s just a salad…but it was one of the most disappointing salads I’ve ever had. Especially coming from such a nice golf course. The people I was golfing with wanted to eat at the restaurant afterwards but we decided not to after seeing my salad.
The best part of the experience was the setting of the restaurant. The food missed its mark completely. The ribeye was dry and I could not finish it. Aparently medium is supposed to have absolutely no pink at all. The food runner kept brining other people’s food to our table ( and sent my girlfriends dish to another as well) I ended up eating half my meal before she got hers a while later; by that point I couldn’t finish any more. Maybe it was the absolute disappointment overall that ruined my appetite.
We were seated near the entrance in an empty restaurant… No where near the views taking place at sundown. Our teenager waitress had no idea how to serve.. Let alone $25-$35 plates. My cod was bland, and my wife’s seafood pasta was fine. Basically…. Our entire meal took 30 minutes. $95 later, we left feeling like… What the hell, was that fast food without the happymeal?
