Before I moved to Saskatchewan, I considered Royal Garden my go-to place for Chinese food in Vernon. I moved back to the area at the end of September and was disappointed to find it closed! I quickly checked the website and saw it listed at a different address, so I checked out the new location. I was impressed. It had very nice, modern decor and good service. Our waiter was very witty! Most of the food in the buffet was like I remembered it, except for two things that I wasn’t happy with: The fried rice was full of chopped ham and it was all I could taste. It was not good. And the long skinny noodles (I can’t remember what they were called) I used to love and continue to crave were missing. Please bring them back! But everything else was delicious! The meats were all of good quality and the sauce was perfect. The dessert buffet was improved from before and I wish I’d left more room for it! I will be back.
