Ordered 1516 and classic poutine during appy hour. Was definately impressed by the shear portion that was given. Cheese was unmelted but still tasty. Overall appealing location.
Just ordered eggs benny…..overcooked….plate was hot from sitting under light…for 10 minutes…..and no care attitude from waitress was unbearable
Too much oil. I had a greek salad with no feta. It was basically a bowl of oily vegetables. Like, the dressing was just olive oil. And there was so much oil, it was almost a soup. I had to dry my vegetables off on my napkin.
It’s a pub. Best pub atmosphere in Vernon and friendly service but the alcohol is a bit over priced
Best food in town!. I’ve lived in Vernon my whole life and have yet to find a place with better food in town than Sir Winston’s pub. The food is always fantastic, the appies are by far the best in town. My family favorites – appies: dry ribs, spinach & artichoke dip made with home-made chips, wings, calamari and roasted garlic & brie. Their main dishes – steak sandwhich, greek platter, seafood nights, best Fish and Chips in town with beer batter!. Drinks: they make the best Cesar with a yummy pickled bean or asparagus spear. mmm mmm. The setting is calm and comfortable, the patio has a breathtaking view of the Okanagan sunset, and the interior is warm and welcoming. I definitely recommend Sir Winston’s pub to anyone looking for great food in Vernon B.C. (as there are not many good restaurants in this town).
This place was quite average and don’t understand the high rating. The food was average at best and the waitress was a little rude. She also took her tip without asking and just bought back change which she saw fit… maybe it was because we were out of towners that she thought that was okay but to us it’s extremely rude. What if we wanted to tip more/less we weren’t even given the option. Overall not a pleasant experience.
An early summer Sunday on the patio proved to be a excellent experience. The walk to the patio was great too – ambience was fun and welcoming. Efficient friendly service, good drinks (Caesars, Mimosas, draft beer & a beerilini) and delicious appys at a great price! The ginger beef & seafood caps were amazing – if I am back in Vernon I hope Sir Winston will invite us over again! 🙂
