One of those places you just keep coming back to. Impeccable service every time, huge portions, tasty food and always some new special you need to try. You cannot go without getting the frickels or the candied bacon. Also not a huge fan of poutine but the moutine is amazing as it the catfish sandwhich. New drink specialalmost every week. My favorite drink is Haley’s bad idea. Yum! not on the menu but if you ask they will make it for you. Seriously go here you will not regret it.
Been here in a weekend trip with the boyfriend. After spending the day at kalamalka lake, we were starving for some home cooking meat. We were overwhelmed by the delicious spices and taste of our choices. He had the barnyard and had absolutely nothing bad to say (which is huge for my cranky boyfriend). I had the Cajun garlic shrimp and omg, it was better than perfect. Highly recommend for any occasion. Friendly staff and nice owners. Can’t wait for them to open one location in Vancouver
Station BBQ in Vernon … where the food hangs off your plate! As soon as you walk into this place you know from thesmellit’s real deal. We ordered an appetizer platter for two, pulled pork plate and full rack ofribs. LOTSof food! (See picture) The pulled pork was good, could have used a bit more bark for my liking.The ribs weregreat. This is a true full rack of BBQ spareribs, seasoned nicely and lightly sauced. Some places I’ve been to serveasmall rack of baby backs as their feature rib plate… to me that justdoesn’t cut it. The sides were a bit underwhelming. We weren’t wild about the warmpotato salad or the beans. Nice cornbread though, bits of bacon in it. Sauces are done very well! 5 different ones at the table … KC, mustard, NC and Texas hot.I believe we were served by the owners who showed a genuine interest in their craft. Lots of enthusiasm and pride. As we were leaving I noticed the gentleman intensely studying the grill as one of the employees finished a dish on it. Nice to see! Keep up the great work and we hope to be back.
