My partner and I were walking along Quadra street and saw this endearing looking cafe. We decided to cross the road to take a look. The cafe was closed but the new owners insisted and welcomed us inside. There was a lot of gluten free and dairy free options (for those with sensitivities) and freshly baked goods. We each ended up going for a treat offered by them of our choosing. Talk about customer service and good people. It is people like that who I love to support in our local community, we will be back! What a wonderful first experience 🙂 Btw. The dairy free and gluten free chocolate cupcake was the Best cupcake I have ever had!!
Amazing!! Super soup and salad, tastes were rich and light at the same time! Pured mushroom soup with salad, could not have asked for a better portion size and the price was amazing!
This place has hipster coming out the ying-yang which is ok by me, some of my faourite cafe’s are in East Vancouver! For $17.43 myself and my husband got two cupcakes, carrot and chocolate, and a almond milk latte and a coconut milk mocha. Didn’t think it was too bad until I saw the size of the coffees – maybe 12oz but probably less 🙁 and my husbands mocha wasn’t a mocha, she forgot the chocolate. The espresso was super bitter and left a serious aftertaste which I’m washing away with Tim Horton’s coffee as I type. But that wasn’t as bad as the hair in our chocolate cupcake… Yum… Nothing as authentically homebaked as a bit of the baker. If they aren’t wearing hairnets what other food safe precautions are they not following? In short – over priced, slow service and stomach turning pastries. Really really disappointed. My advice – go get a cup of coffee at the Timmy’s up the road instead.
Good Eats. I’m not gluten intolerant but always looking for something different. And here I have found it. Twice I’ve been to Sante & haven’t been disappointed…Both times the dishes have been very pleasing. The prices seem to be more expensive but I think that reflects the cost of the ingredients where I’ve noticed gluten free items wherever you go do cost more. Why is that? Go to any store and see for yourself. The passion that goes into Sante ought to be appreciated & that is why I have no problem in returning. Thanks ever so much!!
Sant Gluten Free Cafe is a fabulous local restaurant that serves nothing but the finest gluten free and organic food! The owner Hanna Kofman is a Gourmet European chef, specializing in soups and gluten free goodies to please even the fussiest of appetites.Looking for Paleo?Check out Sant, Vegan?Check out Sant! Finally a place where people with Celiac and gluten sensitivities can go to be nourished and feel welcome. The staff are wonderful, and contrary to the negative comment someone wrote, I have never had anything but the finest dining experience.Hands down the most affordable, delicious Gluten Free Cafe in Victoria, or the Island for that matter!!!!!!
Nice atmosphere, tasty food but overpriced.. When you walk into this cafe it has a nice atmosphere and feels relaxed. There are plenty of good food choices and drinks. I had ordered the breakfast wrap for $9.50. Even though it took a while to get our order, it was very tasty and fresh. Size proportion was a little small though. My only advice would be to lower the prices a bit. $9.50 for a basic wrap is a bit steep. Yes even though it is gluten free, doesn’t mean it has to be expensive. Id consider it again if it was $6.50, or even $7.50 would still seem fair. But overall good place.
Sante Gluten-Free Cafe is the Best!. I’ve eaten many different foods at this friendly caf, as there’s so much to choose from. Everything I’ve eaten is delicious and there’s some that I’m addicted to (and still thin), that’s how tasty each food is. I bring my friends here too, who also enjoy the food, sweets and comfort-feels like a home away from home. Simply put, everything’s healthy and delicious and you’d be happy you’ve gone for the experience.
