We had the French toast, bacon and two egg breakfast special. The food was delicious and the service efficient as well as friendly. Many regulars seem to visit and they’re a friendly crowd. We had some great conversations with other diners while we watched the World Cup! We took some lovely pastries home for afternoon tea later !
Great lunch spot. The soup/sandwich combos are always a tasty, fresh, hearty lunch. Lovely spot!
Recently went to a wedding reception where Casa Nova did the catering. Best part if the meal was their buns, seafood came with prawns undercooked, roast beef was cold, tough that the gravy could not save it. Vegtables were clearly frozen as they were like chewing a pencils eraser. Lastly my sister had marked her meal as Vegetarian and was served steamed (frozen) vegtables and a frozen Veggie burger patty! A vegetarian product from a grocery produce would have been more appealling. At least the buns were good, I ate 4 of them with butter
Just enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Great price, fresh food.
Killer burger. Burger here is good…decent price and a variety of somewhat original burger recipes…will return
CASA NOVA HOMESPUN GOODNESS. Reasonable prices, homestyle food and great staff – if you thought that had disapeared , drop in week days to this bright spot . Enjoy the value ,the food and then leave with something from their deli. They sell olive oil, hot sauce , salads and cottage style sausages – Portuguese cheese and dessert treats.Hey ! they even catered some of my wedding and the food and service was faultless .real food and real prices for real people.RITA RULES !
Love the Portuguese Buns!. This tiny little deli turned restaurant is a delight to have in my neighbourhood! Good coffee and a nice selection of breads and baked goods. We stopped here regularly in the summer to take a bag of chewy Portuguese buns camping with us. Generally they have a thick homemade soup every day, and a daily special. A very large menu for a small place.Portuguese food tends to be on the fatty side, so watch out for the greasy hash browns! Breakfasts are always on the large serving side too.Friendly staff, but sometimes they chat so much they get the order wrong. Watch out for that. There are also deli items for sale like homemade sausages, some sauces, and really strong cheeses. TV set in the corner, distracting and so unnecessary.Still one of my favorites. It would be nice if they were open on the weekend.
