NOTE: The reviews below from June 2015 and older are for Dae Gill, the old restaurant at this location. The restaurant is under new ownership and now goes by the name Sushi Park. The new owners have changed the menu and the food at Sushi Park is mediocre.
The Best Sushi Place in the Lower Mainland. I used to live in the Langley area and was a regular customer at this restaurant. I have since moved closer to Vancouver but still drive the 40+ minutes to Daegill. The food is fantastic. The Forest Morning and Crazy Boy Rolls are my favourites, but everything on the menu was top quality. The service is unmatched. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. I would pay hundreds of dollars for their crazy boy roll, but thankfully the prices are very reasonable. This place is worth traveling great distances for and if you live in the Langley area go there now! In fact, never eat anywhere else. Have all three meals at this place. You won’t regret it and you can thank me later.
The only sushi place I go to!. I love this place – great sushi and amazing staff. They are so nice and efficient! It’s not the closest sushi place to my house but it’s worth the drive. Recommended!
Good eats. I’ve been eating there since they opened up about a year ago now. every time ive gone has been great. the food is super yummy and western friendly. I’ve had just about everything on the menu and I’ve enjoyed it all. you dont even have to be a fan of sushi to eat here, there is a few items on the menu equaly as good as the sushi with no fish what so ever. the owner sam and the whole staff is friendly and happy to see every coustomer that walks in the door. if someone has a bad review about this place they must ether a: be an ass or b: caught a extreamly rare day that I, myself, have never seen.
Splendors!!!. The chef of Daegill is one of the most talented and enthusiastic food artists I’ve ever met. He is always creative and eager to find ways to meet the local taste and the glabal standanrd of authentic Japanese stylish food. The Morning Forest and the Sushi Pizza are a few of his creations that successfully meet the desire of the Canadians, with the multicultural idnetity, for the REAL ASIAN/JAPANESE cuisine! That is why I always want his restautant near in my home and I am sure the we all celebrate that DAEGILL be soon the number one in the Langley community!!
Best Sushi Ever!. The owner/chef started off in Winnipeg and my sister and I discovered his sushi place (located in an old Mr. Sub outlet) really soon after he opened. We were both blown away by his skill and the quality of the food he offered and we ate there often. I was so sad when he moved to B.C. but – not so bad – I have lots of friends there and plan a visit this summer. You will not be disappointed – his Forest Morning is superb, the Yam Tempura is awesome – his sushi pizza is clever and tasty – I miss him and his food!
Forest Morning!. Deep fried vegetable with special sweet sauce.
