It was cold, and snowing, and my wife and I decided to take in a movie. We stopped in here for a quick bite beforehand. First, the good: service was prompt. Now the rest: the California rolls were definitely rushed as an extra ingredient got into them, there werent wrapped very well as a result fell apart, and then we felt rushed out the door as they turned down paying customers as they entered well before closing proclaiming that they were closed. I will say no more.
Very good sushi. Wake Sushi has a large menu with many unique creations. They also have ramen and the usual selection of Japanese appetizers. Good presentation as well, although fairly expensive compared to the quantity of food.
Went here last night before a movie. We walked in just after 9pm. Ordered a Cali, BC, and Dynamite rolls. They didn’t roll the BC and Dynamite rolls tight enough, so they fell apart, also there was yam in the Dynamite roll that wasn’t fully cooked and was slightly raw. Soon after we got our food (which was very prompt), we were asked if we wanted to order any more food. It was bairly 9:30 when we were asked, we said no, and all the sudden they were frantically cleaning up. On a Friday, their hours are til 10:30. When we were paying for our food at 9:45, 2 ppl came in to order for take out and were turned away because they ‘were closed.’ Hours of operation state til 10:30, am I missing something? Only thing I can come up with is the fact that it was snowing a lot and wanted to get out and home early.
