Last time I was here was years ago and sat outside on a high stool to enjoy the water view. Stopped in on a Sunday morning while storm watching at White Rock beach. Could not see ocean as chairs were low so could have been in any restaurant. Place was cold and there coffee luke warm. Why open if your not ready with a warm environment and a hot cup of joe. There was a Xmas group breakfast planned that morning but no Christmas music just old rock and roll. The server couldn’t find the remote to put on something more festive. I ordered a Denver omelette with sourdough toast the latter they were out of. Don’t know how they’re shredded hash browns are prepared as the were just a greasy dried out mound of what tasted like bagged potatoes. The omelette was Ok. Service was adequate. Stopped in for the view but without that, breakfast was ho hum.
Near the end of West Best along the small seaside town of White Rock. The space is small itself, but they have done well to arrange the seating so there is just enough distance between guests. Good choices on the menu at very reasonable prices. Service was friendly and didn’t wait long to get our meals. Food matched the prices, tasty straight forward dishes. The view of the strip, train and people watching makes it a nice place to grab a bite. Let me know what you think!
Watered down drinks. Went with some friends and i ordered 5 drink specials in the 3 hours we were there and didn’t even catch a buzz. I don’t drink to get sloshed, but come on. I’ve caught more of a buzz on a glass of wine. I just feel ripped off. Food was boring as well.
Unimpressed. Bad service too many times, I will not be going back. Was once served a raw chicken burger. Was served salsa that was just a mashed up tomato with barely any seasoning. Once sat out on the patio with a group and waited half an hour without any staff acknowledging us, ended up having to go inside and tell them we were there. I’ve gone on Wednesdays a few times for the live music and there is always a big table of regulars there, while everyone else seems to get ignored. I want to order a drink, please just come ask me…
Good people cheap beer. I have been a few times, i mostly go for the $4 beers they have everyday, they have good servers from what i have seen, i will be going again, plus they have live music! and TV’s there isn’t a lot of places along the beach that have TV’s and play sports on them. Overall 8/10 i haven’t ate much there so cant say much about the food.
Visited November 30. I ordered the seafood linguine. I could smell the strong aroma of seafood as it was placed in front of me. As I ate it the sauce started to congeal into a glob of cream cheese with a tart vinegar taste. The most disgusting meal I have ever had. Omg. Do not spend your money here
11.30.2013. I had the misfortune of visiting the West Beach Bar and Grill on Sat Nov.30.13, I was served my meal 10 min after all of the others were served at our table of 10, I thought that I was ordering something safe and easy, a veggie burger. NOOOOOO. I had no idea what was on my bun; a slop mess of canned dog food? sent it back and didn’t order anything else out of fear. NEVER EAT HERE. need I say more?
