OK coffee BUT I had bad service from a worker with blonde hair in the morning of April 19th 2012. She didn’t help to serve as she was just reading a book behind the counter totally oblivious to customers waiting.
Nice space, casual atmosphere, great coffee shop on the beach. I went here twice. It was surprisingly large for a coffee house, which was great because it meant lots of spacious seating. They have wifi, but the first time I went the wifi was not working. They have decent things to eat, which makes it easy to hang out there and get some work done over several hours.Coffee’s not bad (not like it’s turned sour from not being brewed fresh, like at some restaurants), but it’s also not astounding either. I think the main strength of this place is that it is on the beach and has very comfortable, casual seating and decent eats. You also don’t feel like you have to leave, because it’s not that formal. All the other places along the water at White Rock are either formal restaurants or ice cream parlours with no seating. So there is nothing else as casual as this, which is definitely needed on the beach.The staff is friendly and helpful, no complaints there.
Great coffee!. A little pricy, but it’s the best brewed dark roast coffee i’ve ever had! fresh n full flavoured, good to the last drop n i just had to get at lest 1 refill… the breakfast sandwich was ok. interior was pretty clean, staff were friendly
My New Coffee shop. Being new to the White Rock area, I was in need of a new Coffee shop that is within walking distance.Whitby’s is 5 minutes from the backyard and not only is their coffee good (I’ma stickler for mocha type drinks) they also offer free wifi!
Thought this was a nice place for a coffee, looks much nicer inside than from the street. Everything is new or well-cared for. The coffee itself has a good flavour, they state they have their own beans. It must be hard to compete at the very end of a long row of restaurants, but there sure wasn’t anything to complain about here.
