The food here was okay, but there was a lot of deep fried food here so it is not recommended if you are watching fat. Also, the wasabi was the weakest ever I had; might as well not even use it.
Good Nigiri, Friendly staff. I went to Midori with a friend on May 22nd 2015 at around 6PM. My friend ordered miso soup and a dragon roll. I ordered nigiri: 2pc unagi, 2pc tamago, 2pc tobiko and 1 pc toro. My friends dragon roll looked very good but he said it had way too much eel sauce poured over the top. All of my nigiri were very generous portions and were all very good and the fatty tuna was tender. His dinner after tax was $12 and mine was $11.50. I will go back the next time i am in Abbotsford.I was back at Midori on Wed June 24 2015. I was there on a date and we shared a prawn tempura roll and a veggie tempura roll and two pieces of tamago nigiri. The food was very good, we both enjoyed it and the bill was around $22.This is one of my new favorite places to go to in Abbotsford.
Soooooo Slowwww. We are currently sitting here, waiting for some more food, We tried the all you can eat, but unless you have hours to sit & wait , you will not be satisfied. We got our Sunomonos, a couple of rolls & then waited, & waited & waited…1 hour, 15 minutes later, we finally got more , but when we talked to the waitress, she blamed it on a new chef, but she couldn’t remember what we’d ordered. I don’t care whose fault it was, it was the family dinner from hell, considering we had our 5 & 7 year sit for almost 2 HOURS!!! Never go there if you are hungry! Really ironic, considering that’s what restaurants are for. All I wanna do is go to the Burger King next door so I can eat.
Thought it would be great but it snot. I went tonight for the all you can eat and thought it was pretty good. Until we saw the cook in the back digging deeply into his left nostrils, practically scratching his brain. And instead of going and washing his hands, he continues to work on making my order. We were so disgusted that we refused to eat and pay and then left. The waitress was quite embarrassed and did not argue. I hate to give bad reviews but this was just wrong…
The food here is here is really bad. I ordered beef yakisoba and it was sickingly sweet. After only tasting it, I asked to have it replaced with something else. The manager said he would charge me for the meal. After much discussion, he agreed not to charge me for the meal I didnt eat. The sushi rolls I ordered instead were very small and didnt taste very good. I strongly advise to stay clear of this place. Its the worst sushi place I’ ve ever been to.
Lots of food. If you are looking for high-end cuisine and lovely decor, move on; but if you are looking for lots of tasty food, give Midori a try. My young adult sons keep going back. I didn’t think that I liked Japanese food that much but their Teriyaki dishes on sizzling plates is really good. Tried an Udon soup the other day and it was also great. If this keeps up Midori is going to change my taste in food.
Sashimi not good. Servers were niced charged us lunch all you can eat at dinner, helpful and good service, sashimi bad, several items gross,
