I would give a 0 if there was that option. Clueless servers, irresponsible managers, and duck soup that tastes worse than instant noodle soup. For a ‘high-end fine dinning’ restaurant their service was truly a nightmare. We ordered their two-course duck for 88$, and chose noodles in duck soup to be our second course. When they served us the soup, it came in the smallest bowl ever with only 2 or 3 tiny noodles inside. After tasting the soup, it was so bland, no fragrance or taste of duck whatsoever. So we complained to our server, and requested to just pack our food and our duck bone to go (this is a tradition and a normal request for ordering roasted Beijing duck). The server responded with a very obvious lie that ‘their kitchen threw away the duck bone’. It got worse when their manager came. He bluntly stated that not only did his kitchen threw away the duck, the 88$ also only covers ONE course. The second course is free, so don’t complain. (which is total bs) He also said he can not care if we don’t like his food, only if there was a problem with food. Honestly, as the head manager of this restaurant, he was extremely rude, useless and unprofessional. He was unapologetic, full of lies and provided no solution other than giving me more soup which tasted like feet.I must say their first course of the duck tasted fine. But for 88$, it is not worth it at all. Unless you are a fan of nasty soup and horrible service, avoid at all cost. Imperial restaurant in Richmond does a much better job in taste, portion and they give you the duck bone to take home for free.

The dishes are excellent and really worth the price. Very excellent service team and nice view. I would like to recommend the cold noodles, chang’an duck and sea cucumber.

Non existent service, except for the duck very average food. We had a table of 12 took considerable time to have someone take a drink order, then delivered in bits and pieces over the next 20 minutes. They started to carve the very good duck immediately and the following soup was delicious, then they disappeared. More than 1/2 an hour after we finished the soup I went out and asked a waiter to please serve us , a few minutes later they brought us 3 menus for 12 and then took orders. Of the 8 dishes we ordered, which the waiter repeated back at the time only 6 arrived. Once we finished the 6 we asked about the other 2, 10 minutes later the beef arrived, we asked about the missing fish another 10 minutes later it arrived. Then at 10 o’clock, it is Saturday night and although our booking was for 7:30 we weren’t seated until almost 8, they started turning off the lights. So horrible service what about the food. With exception of the duck about what you old expect at an average suburban Chinese restaurant.

best asian restaurant in Vancouver. It’s from it’s complimentary pita to Beijing duck and sour spicy soup, pork sliders and cold noodles, also the spicy abaloneSo many dishes worth trying one of my favourite place to go

Overall it was so so. The environment is excellent. But the food is nothing special. I don’t like the Peking duck because it was totally different than I have tried in Beijing. The soup is tiny tinny and it is an expensive restaurant. The view was great though.

We went to Chang’An yesterday to celebrate my son’s birthday. It was fairly busy so we still had to wait 20 minutes for our table even when we made reservation.Food was delicious but pricey (peking duck was $88 and they made soup with the duck bones – which did not have any duck flavour). Servers were nice but we can never tell who speaks what language (Cantonese or Mandarin). The manager (I assumed) was exceptionally rude. I asked him if I can order more wraps for the duck. He pretended that he doesn’t understand me and also when I ask him in English the name of the dish he was holding. He replied in Mandarin?? The sad part was our ice cream cake. The hostess put the cake in the fridge instead of the freezer. She mistakenly thought the fridge was the freezer!!! As you can expected, our ice cream cake melted. I was not happy although she did apologized but still. I don’t think I will be coming back.
