Good price, above-average foodA small Sushi place with only a few tables. Quite impressed by their great varieties on the menu.Tried their Prawn Tempura (6 prawns); Toro Combo (BC Roll, Toro Nigiri Sushi); Beef Teriyaki Bento Box. The 2nd & 3rd dishes came with Miso Soup.Everything was ok but would be even nicer if the soup could be hotter. Rice in Bento Box was nice & hot enough, the Beef was marinated well. Tempura dish was not oily but crispy – nice. Toro combo was ok.Overall comments : with the really inexpensive price, definitely you got what you’ve paid. Service was good & attentive – we got our tea refilled a few times without requesting.Recommended and will go back to try other stuff.

I’ve been eating sushi at daikichi sushi for about 6 years now. I go there mainly when I have sushi cravings and whenever I’m too lazy to go anywhere far.(i usually do take out) The things i usually order are combo b; tuna ,salmon, and california roll; and maki combo; tuna, salmon, and kappa. Both of the combos also come with miso soup. I really enjoy eating their rolls mainly because they aren’t too big like other sushi places. The price is very reasonable and very friendly chef. I can’t say too much about the rest of the staff because they usually change. It is a great place for a quick and cheap munch. (The only thing i would advise is dont order the ikura nigiri because when i did it tasted weird :$ )

Best Place!!!. Love this little sushi place!! The owners are so friendly and the staff is so nice 🙂 There sushi is the best priced in the city and the quality of everything is top notch! There tempura prawns are the best in town. Love it!!! So small but worth it !! LOVE! 🙂

While the sushi specials are cheap and the food is fairly good, the service is extremely slow when ordering for take out. They only have one person making the rolls. It took half an hour for my take out order to be read. And I only ordered two items on the menu. As much as I would like to support this business, I don’t have time to wait half an hour if I wanted a quick lunch. I rather go across the street where it’s more expensive but much faster.

Superb!. Fantastic food, service and value.Always a pleasure to eat here. Try the specials. Lunch can be hectic so go a bit early or late if you can.

A downtown favourite!. Daikichi is AWESOME. Period. I’ve been coming here ever since I’d moved downtown, almost 5 years ago! This place is fantastic: friendly staff, good selection, great price, and it’s close to where I live. Try their chicken yakisoba. I introduced a buddy of mine to their chicken yakisoba and now, whenever he’s in the area, he picks one up to go!Also, this is a regular meeting spot for myself and a colleague of mine. Restaurants have come and gone on this strip, but Daikichi Sush ain’t goin’ nowhere. Don’t believe me? Ask the people sitting & eating in their oftentimes packed space; or the 2 or 3 people always sitting by the door, waiting for their take-out 😉
