Apparently this place is closing soon because of the lease/rental issue. Anyway the 3 of us got here for lunch on a Sunday. I ordered the turkey avocado wrap + potato leek soup as a combo for $10.50. My others friends got the wild salmon avocado sandwich and the turkey potato hash breakfast + mangolicious fresh juice (mango, orange, pineapple). Not bad for a light lunch but still feel a bit hungry afterwards because the portion is not too big.
I have been coming here for lunch at least once every two weeks over the past decade. I have mainly ordered their wraps, however have tasted a few other items on the menu. Initially I found their wraps well put together and tasty. Although these past 2 weeks their wraps have fallen apart on me and the flavour fairly bland.I enjoy their Mexi wrap with chicken. You have to pay extra for the protein but I find it worth the money. Their turkey avocado wrap once was tasty but is now bland. I am finding they are adding too many sauces to the wrap that it drips liquid and makes it a mess to eat. Though this is a small downfall for the Dish, their food is healthy and refreshing.Side note: Be careful when you bite into things. A few years ago I almost choked on a small jagged piece of plastic from one of the dressing containers they used! They were apologetic but still dangerous.UPDATE: Rating changed to 4.5 from 3.5 only because of the service and the fact that the management takes customer comments as cues to improve on current product and service. Yes they still need to work on the wraps but in a restaurant you are always striving on developing ongoing consistency in flavours, presentation and quality.
One of the best lunch spots on Davie Street! Small business, owned by an adorable couple. A Vancouver special! Soups are divine, chili is amazing, daily specials excellent as well. Everything is homemade.
