It is probably the new favourite breakfast place after my all time love Acme closed down. The patio is nice and relatively quiet, even at a busy Saturday afternoon. I like the french toast/ cheese / ham/ egg combination. Plus, it is tasted so good. I heard that they are famous of milk shake. However, the chocolate milk shake is a bit too sweet and a bit less creamy for my taste. Overall, I recommend this place for you if you are a fan of old diner style.
This is a retro-looking diner located on Davie, several blocks from Burrard. I visited them during breakfast time and had their Chicken and Waffles. The dish was fairly good; the service quite friendly and prompt. Although I haven’t tried any of their burgers and other items off of their lunch/dinner menu, I think that this diner is definitely worth checking out for the breakfast items alone.Chicken and Waffles ($17):3.5/5This consists of two small waffles sandwiching a large piece of fried chicken, and comes with your choice of side; I had their hashbrowns. The chicken was dark meat, and was tender and juicy; unfortunately, I found it to be very underseasoned. The waffles were a bit thick and chewy, but flavourful and seemed to contain pearls of sugar inside. It was quite sweet on its own, and didn’t really require any syrup.
