In few words, not bad. Really cheap for what Denman has to offer and you do get a bang for your buck if you order right. As I always say with sushi, avoid any specialty rolls, as that will add to the whole in your pocket but not the whole in your stomach. The Wild Sockeye Salmon Maki was surprisingly fresh in comparison to other higher-class sushi spots, and I always drop by to get me a set when I’m in the area.
My first experience with sushi in Vancouver came at Kitaya, and I wasn’t disappointed. The flavors were fresh and tasty and the value was unbeatable. I ordered this for delivery, and so my only critique is that there was perhaps a little more liquids on the sashimi takeout container than I had expected, but it didn’t deter anything. The delivery time was quick and I would most certainly order from here again if I was visiting Vancouver next time! porchandtable.com
