I ordered take-out. The rice portion of both the saba sushi and the chopped scallop sushi is smaller, the saba pieces are smaller, but the pieces of chopped scallop are bigger compared to other sushi places. The salmon and tuna sashimi and the takoyaki look and taste okay. The miso soup, which comes with the unagi don, can be less salty. The price of the unagi don on the receipt, $13.5, is not the same as the price on the take-out menu, $11.95. Is it because they added the shredded beets to make it look fancy? The unagi don taste okay but it’s just slightly warm; it tasted as though it had been prepared long before I arrived. I like how they don’t put too much sauce on the unagi don, but it’s not worth $13.5. You can get the same thing at other places for at least a couple of dollars cheaper.
Always so fresh! I order takeout from here on a regular basis. Tonight I brought in 5 out of town friends, and they left raving about the food! Service is always quick and pleasant. Good prices for the downtown core and the quality/quantity!
Below average sushi but they do sashimi well. Ordered the tuna tataki salad, it was ruined by the strong flavoured white salad dressing. But the tuna tataki was cooked well. The House Special roll was dry & lacked flavour. The rice could have used more seasoning & moisture. The tuna & sockeye salmon sashimi was a saving grace. Thick cuts of beautiful tuna & salmon. My recommendation- stick to the sashimi selection, great cuts.
Nice place. Good food, clean place, they have lots of special.
Really think the fishes are fresh?they just order the fish once a week. Are them profes?they know nothing just buy a restaurant to spend the time ,and doesn’t think about how to get the food better
Best lunch deal! $2.50 pe…. Best lunch deal!$2.50 per item, so I had spicy Agedashi tofu, Unagi Roll, Gyoza and Chicken Yakitori, for a mere $10! This is unbeatable if you want variety and freshly made Asian delicacies! Will definitely return!
Good good good!. If you do not mind the casual diner atmosphere, you will treat yourself with good sushi. The service is not exceptional but fair. Good to generous amount of fish, not too much rice, good cuts, and very fresh. We really liked it and would definitely go back for a quick dinner or lunch but maybe not the best place for a serious or romantic night out. Take out is probably another good option.
