A bit pricey compared to the quality and the portion, but I guess it’s one of the cheapest place in town already. The shop is a bit tiny, compared to how busy it is. I don’t think the food is very authentic though. Acceptable.
First time visiting this restaurant…A very small restaurant with limited seats. You have to pay when you make the order, somewhat like eating fast food. Ordered Pad Thai w/Salad & Pad See Ew w/Salad. The texture of the beef was a bit tough so next time I would choose chicken instead. Overall taste was good though and the dishes were hot enough when serving. I observed that they had lots of take-out orders. Next time I may also consider ordering take-out instead of of eating-in. Will like to try their Tom Yum Koong Soup and Tom Ka Gai Soup.If you do not mind eating in a small place, this is still a good choice for Thai/Malaysian food.Still recommended.
I’m torn with this restaurant, why? the curry that I got the curry base was awesome, but the meat though, it’s really tough to chew, i think they did bought the wrong part of beef, but however that’s not my decision. but overall i would say their spices and taste are definitely alright, but the meat tenderness can definitely be improved by a lot. will not come back and there are still plenty of good thai restaurants around vancouver. portion maybe just slightly below average and the taste is definitely average, but the meat though urgh and everything else is definitely fine. mangkr.wordpress.com
Went here because of the 4+ rating and was in the neighborhood. Tried the pad thai, it was okay, came with three small prawns and big chunks of tofu. Yellow curry wasn’t very good, had it with chicken and it was tough.
I love this place! It underlines what West End food is all about – great value: tasty, decent portion, and good price. Is it the best Thai food you will eat? Nope. However, it is well above average. If I had to sum up this place, I’d say it is a great little hole in the wall, with friendly but spartan do-it-yourself service. Don’t get me wrong! This is not a bad thing because this tiny little place is geared for takeout. They don’t need to spend extra on servers and they seem to pass this savings onto the customer. Two people can have a decent dinner here for 20$ ….not kidding!I’m coming back….see ya there
Excellent thai food! Good prices and fantastic flavors. We had the green chicken curry which is spicy enough and it took me back to Thailand. The chicken cashew nuts was just fine… Next time we’ll try the pad thai. Must go!!!
Al comienzo dudamos porque el lugar no es muy bonito, pero dp de probar los platos cambio toda nuestras opiniom.La comida estaba espectacular, buen nivel de picante y calidad de losIngredientes. Precios aceptables
