Typical american motel sports pub but the food is definitely better. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice and smoky burger that comes in the menu by very safisticated name of The Burger. The food is better than typical american motel food but it would be wrong comparing it to classy-casual Vancouver healthy dining trends.The interior is quite outdated. It feelsl like you are in the 80s movie set which is, depending how you look at it, not necessarily a bad thing. One thing is for sure you won’t find any locals here.
With $4 burgers on Friday nights, figured I’d try it. You can’t go wrong, burger was great value. Some staff could use a little work on their customer service skills, but overall not a bad place. I’d go again and take friends with me.
Awesome food!. My wife, daughter, and I are staying at the Best Western. We didn’t want to leave the hotel and despite the poor reviews, we decided to try this place out. Everything was fantastic. The bar atmosphere thru us off at first, but once we were seated, everything was great. I had the Tuna Burrito, my Wife had a steak, and my daughter had the pulled park sandwich. We were impressed by everything.
Won’t Be Back. Breakfast was very so-so. Hash browns cooked with onions and garlic was awful, eggs greasy, and meal was warm not hot…too hungry to send back. Service ok but not great…my coffee was cool before the milk finally arrived…had to remind twice. I love Sunday breakfast and this is not the place to go to in my opinion.
Nice atmosphere, comfy couches, and good drink specials. Food’s ok, and service was slow on a very slow night.Overall, I liked it, but would have loved a better waitress!
Live music and a variety of beers!. I had been debating coming to the park at english bay for a few weeks now after hearing so much about it from my good friends. I definitely wish I had came sooner because this place is a very welcoming atmosphere full of great food and drinks. I was very excited when I saw the menu and the amount of imported beers they have on tap as well as on bottle. I will have to come back just to try all of the beers that they have on their menu because I love to try new beers. My wife wasn’t nearly as excited about the beers as I was but she was very happy to see that they had a nice sized menu for cocktails, mixed drinks, ciders and martini’s. My wife’s favorite mixed drink was the vanilla coke and I just had to try it because I love vanilla coke and it was delicious. I tried the Innis and Gunn oak aged beer and it was a strong but delicious and flavorful beer and would definitely try it again. The fried chicken was nothing short of amazing but the time it took for my food to arrive after ordering it was longer than I had expected but the food was still great. The live music was not too loud at all and provided a nice piece of entertainment for the night. In conclusion if you like good drinks, good food, and live performances then this is the place for you!
