Fake good reviews. I agree with the fake post. must be an employee or owner who writes good reviews after having so many bad posts cause the food and service sucks!!!!
We were coming home from Harrison hot springs and flipping through mobile bandit and found Austin fish house , we usually go to the one in coquitlam. We found the fish was way better tasting, fresh tasting, very pleasant atmosphere. The manager Tania went out of her way serving us, and to every person that came through the door she greats them very hospitable Ty Tania
One of the Best!. I love great fish and chips! Whenever I travel, I always make a point of trying as many fish and chip eateries as I can. I’ve eaten fish and chips in Alaska, all around BC, the Maritimes, Ireland and London. In my opinion, Austin’s is one of the best that I’ve had! The cod is fresh, sweet, moist and perfectly cooked. The batter is light and stays crispy until the very end. The fries are homemade and not overcooked. The tartar sauce is mild and homemade as well, served along with a very tasty little coleslaw salad. Portions are generous, served by a warm and friendly staff.and reasonably priced. I cannot comprehend how any fish and chip lover could possibly be critical of Austin’s – unless they were a jealous competitor (or their supporters). Ignore the phony naysayers and try Austin’s for yourself. Guaranteed, you’ll be back for more!
Amazing!. Went to Austin fish and Chips with my husband who is an avid fisherman and very picky fish eater, and I am not a real fan of fish, but I have to tell you it was amazing! We had the Halibut and were totally impressed, nice crisp batter and great homemade fries and homemade coleslaw. The portions were large and the price is very reasonable. Friendly staff and the place was packed and we had our dinner within 20 mins. and there wasn’t an empty table in the place! See you again soon!
Great cod. I am not a chip{french fry} eater so I cannot comment on them, but the cod is excellent. Lightly battered and not very heavy. The old ownership when it was under a different name used a very heavy thick batter which I thought was horrible. If you like heavy batter you are not going to like this place. I have read some of the other reviews and come on people it’s fish and chips not filet mignon. Halibut portions are a bit small and I don’t eat pollock so no review on that. Coleslaw is very basic and ok. In my opinion they serve the best cod in Chilliwack.
Best Fish & Chips…this side of the UK. Let me share my mission on Fish & Chips… I have spent several months over the past year in both Canada and the UK. Fish and chips are top on my hips & lips. Austin Fish & Chips is the place to be. When I am not in the UK, we can generally be found here on Saturday. Not only is the food fresh and cooked to perfection. The portions are always very large. If you go away hungry, it’s your own fault. Now, topping off all of this is the staff! Always making your dining experience a great one. If you have not tried, you should put this on the top of your list for fish and chips!
