You want a delicious Native American meal, this is the place. Everything is so fresh. We ate there twice. Once we both had the Indian tacos, I had the beef and it was oozing with flavour, don’t forget the bannock, I’ve had sweet and salty bannock here and it just work every time. I love the bannock so much that after my trip to Kelowna I tried making some at home, which i will admit I screwed up. Back to kekuli.The second time I had breakfast bannock sandwich and It was equal if not better than my lunch experience, my friend hadthe Buffalo burger. Both times we were impressed with the food and appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. The addition of sasktoon berry smoothie was a nice touch, where else can you find a sasktoon berry smoothly??? Check it out
Great bannock! You can get it for breakfast lunch and dinner. The Indian tacos are great and I enjoy the buffalo stew! Great portions for take out and very tasty. The coffee is pretty good and goes well with breakfast!
Did not enjoy the food or atmosphere at Kekuli Cafe. The cafe and bathrooms were dirty, tables not wiped off and were sticky with food. Menu was very expensive, service was slow and we were still hungry when we left.Will not be back. Glad we had not brought family or friends with us.
This was a fantastic restaurant when it opened, however they’ve taken many of our favorites off the menu. It would be great if they would let you have mayonnaise, not everybody likes sweetened barbecue sauce.
Have you ever tried their chicken taco?? It’s awesome!! Don’t believe it? Try it and rate it yourself online!I already know you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you take coffee or a delicious latte to go or stay.
Where’s The rest of her smoked salmon?. My wife and I were excited all week to visit your establishment and try the food that we saw on the ‘you gadda eat here’ episode. I liked the fact that you guys made everything fresh, and the portions on the show(you gadda eat here) look like it would be an awesome meal. I ordered the buffalo burger, the most expensive burger on the menu. And my wife ordered the smoked salmon bannock. we took a seat and waited for our meals. all the while my wife was getting more and more excited to try the food. When the food came to the table my wife saw the pathetically small sandwich she ordered for 8 bucks…. she opened the sandwich up to see what her $8 bought and was immediately disappointed to find ONE (1) ridiculously small piece of packaged smoke salmon. I even Laughed cause i thought that it was a joke. but my wife was doing anything but laughing……One Piece of packaged salmon?!!!!! WTF!!! My burger was a great size. but the bannock was way too thin on the bottom. That’s not the problem. I was expecting at least an in house made buffalo patty . but what did i get? A preformed refrozen buffalo patty. not even made in house. It was truly a twice frozen dry hockey puck! Meat has a disgusting taste when it is frozen then thawed then Frozen again. I know This taste, and I tasted it in my burger. and there was no Saskatoon berries in the burger meat. I specifically pulled my burger apart to look for the berries that i saw in the show….. there was no berries in my burger!!Even if you guys changed your deceitful ways and went back to making fresh food with exciting portion sizes….. we would not be backI feel ripped off by Kekuli cafe.
The place was super busy when we got there (just after 1 pm), but started to clear out a but by the time our order was taken, so we were lucky to get a table. We ordered two bannock burgers, one with fries, one with soup, and a plain bannock with butter, can of coke (two tap waters), plus one maple nut bannock and the bill was roughly $30.00 (2 adults + 2 small children).While we waited, we watched food sit under the warmer for quite some time when it was ready. As the orders piled up in the window and the staff continuously walked by, my spouse did get a little frustrated and finally asked if our food was ready (we were waiting almost 20 minutes!). As you can imagine, when the food came, it was just barely warm. We waited so long, the kids were too hungry, so we ate it anyway. To our surprise, the food was fantastic! The reviews are what brought us here, and I agree that the food is top notch. The service time, and watching those orders sit up in the window so long was a little annoying. I imagine if the food came when it was ready, it would have been outstanding. I would be happy to try it again, because it did taste so good, but if I watch the food sit while servers walk past it continuously again, I don’t think i’d go back, but everyone deserves a second chance. I recommend giving it a go, and I hope the service works out a little better for you. Cheers!
